73, of Cranston passed away peacefully at his home on August 16, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (DeBlasio) McAllister for fifty years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Stanley M. and Teresa A. (Christopher) McAllister.
A US Army Veteran, he proudly served in Vietnam.
Mr. McAllister worked for RIPTA for twenty-four years and served as Chief volunteer for the Meshanticut Park Volunteer Fire Company in Cranston. He was also the tour bus driver for RI Red. He served as supervisor for Providence Canteen - SSFA and was also an usher at the Park Theater.
Bob loved going to the casino, playing scratch tickets and the daily number.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children Dorie-Lynn Ferry and her husband Richard of Cranston, Gina Turcotte and her husband David of Cranston, Lori Adamo-Savard of Cranston and Frank Adamo, Jr. of Cranston; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved cat Bella. He was the brother of the late Catherine Constant O’Brien, Donald McAllister and Scott McAllister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his VISITING HOURS Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 4-8pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston. His funeral and burial with Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Canteen – SSFA, 100 Minnesota Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888.
