ROBERT H. "BOB" JANIGIAN

After graduating Central High School, Bob entered Bryant University and received a BS Degree in Business Administration. He served in Korea with the U.S. Army for 2 years, and later accepted a position with Equifax Services, an international business information services firm where he held a management position for 35 years until retiring in 1991. Bob was an active member at Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church where he served on the Parish Council over a 20 year period and served as a Diocesan delegate for 8 years. He was a member of the Knights of Vartan and was named Knight of the Year in 2005; Chairman of The Husenig Foundation, Inc., a charitable organization founded by his father and several relatives over 50 years ago; and he assisted many young people from Armenian immigrant families in preparing applications for college and obtaining scholarships.

Family was foremost in Bob's life as activity with his children and grandchildren brought immense enjoyment. Another of his great loves was travel as he traveled extensively throughout the world with his wife.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Dr. Robert H. Janigian, Jr. and his wife Marianne and Marc S. Janigian and his wife Krista, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Christopher, Nicholas, Matthew, Michael, Greta, Lily and Leo; and dear brother of Dorothy Masoian and her husband Steve of Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Interment with military honors will be at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
