ROBERT MELVIN HICKS

86, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Briarcliff Manor, Johnston. Born in Detroit, he was a son of the late Hugo and Bertha (Wilbur) Hicks. Robert was employed by the City of Detroit, Water Department for twenty-eight years before his retirement. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II.

He is survived by his loving children, Barbara J. Pezza and her husband Richard of Warwick, and Mark A. Hicks of East Point, MI. He was the cherished grandfather of Mark Hicks, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Detroit, MI and one great-granddaughter Allison. Robert was the brother of the late Hugo Hicks. He is also survived by his nephew Randall Hicks and his wife Linda of Macomb, MI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Inurnment will be private.
