ROBERT F. ' Red ' EVANS

77, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was the beloved husband of Joan R. (Reinikka) Evans of Cranston. They would have celebrated their 57th anniversary in November. He was born in Providence, a son of the late George and Carmelita (Fenton) Evans. Robert was employed by the City of Providence at the Parks and Recreation Division. He also was employed at the Providence Police Department for many years. He was a friend of Bill W. and a motivational and inspirational speaker in the organization for many years, also a Marine Corp Veteran. Besides his wife Joan, he is survived by his loving children, Daniel F. Evans (EPPD, Ret.) of Johnston, Thomas J. Evans of Exeter, JoAnn M. Evans of Warwick, the late Michael P. Evans, and his daughter-in-law Adrienne Evans. Brother of Daniel Evans of Zellwood Florida and the late Eleanor Healy and Mary Patricia Uva. He was the cherished grandfather of, Aili Calore, Hannah Evans, and great-grandfather of, Owen Evans who were all the love of his life. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Ann's Church, Cranston at 11:00am. Interment will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4-8pm.
