Robert DeSiderato 75, of Glen Mills, PA. formerly of Rhode Island passed away peacefully Sunday November 7, 2021 with his family by his side, in Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Robert "Bob" DeSiderato is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jody, their son, Jerry, "daughter" Christa and two grandsons, Alex and Luca. He also leaves behind his brother Ronald, sister-in-law Judy, sister-in-law Joyce, brother-in-law Louis, nephew Ron, Jr., niece Lisa and her husband Jeff and their son Nicholas, and his niece Lucianna. Bob was also the brother of the late Gerald DeSiderato.
Bob served overseas in the U.S. Army and while there earned the National Defense Service Medal and also earned the distinguished honor of becoming an Expert Rifleman. He received an Honorable Discharge.
Bob worked as a mechanical designer over the course of his career and retired three years ago. He loved to ski and travel, and was also an avid Patriots and Tom Brady fan.
Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to Jerry, Christa and the boys. Countless hours were spent with Alex and Luca playing board games, singing songs in the car on rides home from school, watching Superman and a Dog's Purpose, and having sleepovers. Weekends were all about spending time with Alex and Luca at soccer games and little league baseball. He was their biggest fan. Jerry, Christa, Alex and Luca are grateful beyond words that grandpa was so involved in the boys' lives these past three years.
Bob was an amazing handyman around the house and always had a "to do" list. If you needed something fixed or sewn, he was your man! Bob touched many lives in the course of his 75 years and everyone he met quickly became a lifelong friend. He will be sorely missed by many. This kind, gentle, loving, funny and honest man was always there whenever anyone needed him.
