ROBERT J. "BOB" CASCONE

Robert J. "Bob" Cascone, 68, of Johnston, RI, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband for 40 years of Susan M (Restaino) Cascone. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Perciato) Cascone. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a Communications Engineer and upon his return to Brooklyn he worked as a maintenance engineer for the New York Telephone Company and the New York Transit Authority. With his wife and daughter, Bob moved to RI from Brooklyn 29 years ago. He retired in 2005 from Holy Cross Church in Providence as a maintenance engineer. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Jennifer M. Cascone of Bethesda, MD and the late Joseph Robert Cascone, and dear brother of Helen Pannullo of North Palm Beach, FL and the late Arthur Cascone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Bob's name be made to: American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Suite 108, Providence, RI 02903.
