ROBERT A. "BOBBY" ABBRUZZESE

68, of Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 19,2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Carol (Davis) Abbruzzese for 46 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmine and Virginia (Paliotta) Abbruzzese. Bobby was employed by the City of Cranston and worked in the Engineering Division for over thirty years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Robin Fitzgerald and Robert Abbruzzese, Jr., both of Cranston, Michael Abbruzzese and Linda Andriote, both of Coventry. Bobby was the beloved grandfather of eleven. He was also the brother of Carl Abbruzzese of Wakefield and John Abbruzzese of Scituate. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid Church, Plainfield Street, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
