Rita A. LaMarra

(age 86) passed peacefully on November 2.  She died as she lived, with dignity, grace, and a deep love of her family and friends.  Rita lived her life devoted to caring for others.  The things she cherished were faith, family, and friends.  More than anything else, her greatest legacy is the loving care which she gave her family.

She was a graduate of the Roger Williams Hospital School of Nursing.  As a registered nurse, she served her profession honorably.  She worked in many capacities at a range of institutions.  She had a generous spirit and loved international travel, dining out, and meeting new people.  Much time was spent in Ogunquit, Maine, which was her greatest love.

She is predeceased by her parents, Benedetto and Angelina LaMarra, sisters Helen LaMarra, Yola LaMarra, Ida Puccetti, Olga Caniglia, Esther Capuano, and brother, Albert LaMarra.  She will be missed dearly by her nieces Pamela Christy, Carol Iannuccilli, Angelyn Phillips, Claudia Iannuccilli, Karen Caniglia, and her nephew Umberto Capuano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10am in  St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown, Rhode Island.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted, and burial will be private.
