Richard N. Young

76, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maryjane (Sivo) Young for 50 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond and Emily (Gamache) Young. Mr. Young was a sales associate for over fifty years. Richard was a member and former six time Exalted Ruler of the West Warwick Elks Lodge #1697, a past Deputy District West, and the current elected State Vice President of RI State Elks Association.

Besides his wife Maryjane, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Heather Steinhilber of Cranston, and Nicole Zhe and her husband Matthew of Swansea, MA. Richard was the cherished grandfather of Miles Geraghty, Emiliene Zhe, and Molly Zhe. He was the brother of Raymond Young and his wife Elizabeth of North Providence and Robert Young and his wife Jeannette of Woonsocket. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14th, at 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m., with an Elks ritual to be performed at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation, in his memory would be appreciated, elks.org
