RICHARD A. DEL SESTO

Richard A. Del Sesto 68, of Westmoreland, NH, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland from cancer. He was born in Providence, RI a son of the late Anthony and Dorothy (Montanaro) Del Sesto. Richard grew up and attended schools in Cranston, RI where he lived with his parents for fifty years. For the past five years he lived at Maplewood Assisted Living in Westmoreland. For thirteen years before that he lived with his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Marie Del Sesto in West Chesterfield, NH. Mr. Del Sesto worked as a kitchen aide a Butler Hospital, Providence, RI for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed watching NHRA drag racing on TV and attended many races in his youth. He was a lifetime Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruin fan. In his later years, he watched multiple weather programs and provided those around him with his own forecasts. Richard especially enjoyed family holidays and their huge feasts. Survivors, in addition to his brother and sister-in-law, include his niece Gina Kelly, and her husband Kevin, of Sandwich, MA; a nephew, Michael Del Sesto, and his wife Leslie, of Kensington, NH; two great-nieces; a great-nephew; and many cousins. There are no calling hours. A private interment service will be held at a later date.
