RICHARD L. SCITTARELLI, SR

74, of Smithfield previously of Cranston, passed away on Friday April 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Celeste (Enos) Scittarelli. They were married 44 years. Richard was born in Providence, a son of the late Richard J. Scittarelli and Eleanor (Gentile) Scittarelli. Mr. Scittarelli was a restaurateur, owning and operating many restaurants in Rhode Island until his retirement. He was also a US Air Force veteran. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, Elisa Scittarelli of Smithfield, Richard L. Scittarelli, Jr. of Providence, Gary Cooney of Coventry, Kevin Cooney of Exeter and the late Mark Cooney. He was also the cherished grandfather of 6, great grandfather of 1 and was the brother of Robert Scittarelli of Florida and Rosemary Hunlock of Greenville. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Paul's Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston with a burial of military honors to follow.
