RICHARD SCHUMACHER, SR

86, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Friday March 1, 2013 at the D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Putney) Schumacher. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Walter and Elise (Rieger) Schumacher.

Richard retired as a foreman at Kunzmann Chain Company. He was also a World War II United States Army Military Police Veteran.

He is survived by his loving children, Susan Fiaschetti and her husband Don of Billerica, MA, Carol Dooley and her husband Paul of Canton, MA, Julie Ciardiello and her husband Nick of Metuchen, NJ, and was also the father of the late Richard Schumacher, Jr. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Kyle, Daniel, Rachel, Renee, Alexandra, and Samantha, and his sister Peg Rooney of Boynton Beach, FL. He was also the brother of the late Walter Schumacher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m.
