84, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Aldrich) Ross. They were married for the past 38 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Gladys (Adams) Ross. Richard was the owner of Ross Music Sales & Service for 44 years and was also a well-known saxophone player retiring 5 years ago after over a 60-year career. His band called Dick Ross & The Royal Counts played 50’s, 60’s & 70’s Rock & Roll music. Richard was also a member of the oldies band called Reminisce for 16 years and Sh-BOP another oldies band for several years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children Jeffrey Nield, Rodney Ross, David Ross, his siblings Martin Ross, Frank Ross, his grandchildren Jeffrey & Andrew Nield, Louis & Alexandra McGloine & Daniel Ross and his great granddaughter Isabella McGloine and was also the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Richard was the father of the late Louis Ross, brother of the late Oliver & Thomas Ross, Alice Cerio, Marvette Beleau & Dorothy Girouard and grandfather of the late Joseph Sirois.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral home service on Thursday at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4- 8 pm.
