74, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 23, 2011 at home. He was the beloved husband of forty-five years to Ernestine A. (Gesmondi) DiPalma. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Angelina (Cianciarulo) DiPalma. Mr. DiPalma was a self employed interior decorator and owner of Interiors by Richard. He was a prominent member of the musicians union. He played in the Shriners Band in Cranston. Mr. DiPalma served in the RI Air National Guard from 1961 to 1967.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Regina M. Moore and her husband David of Warwick, and Keith J. DiPalma and his wife Cindy of South Attleboro, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew and Dylan Moore, and Zachary and Nicholas DiPalma. Richard was the brother of Angelo DiPalma and Rose Ricci, both of Johnston, and the late Benjamin, Anthony DiPalma, and Faye DiGregorio.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
