Richard P. Oatley

of Bowdoin St., Providence, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at RI Hospital, Providence.  He was the beloved husband of Rhonda R. (Bagley) Oatley.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (DeGrasse) Oatley.

Richard was a mechanic for the Coca Cola Company before retiring and a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran.

Besides his wife Rhonda, Richard was the devoted father of Maryann M. Oatley and Jennifer A. Sosa, both of Providence; dear brother of Alice Taylor of WA, Terri Whipple of NH, Dawn Randall of RI, Edward Oatley of North Providence, RI and the late John Oatley, Sharon Cayer, Joyce McLaughlin, Robert Oatley, Russell Oatley and William Oatley; cherished grandfather of five; and loving great-grandfather of two.

His funeral and burial with military honors will be private.
