of Narragansett died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29 at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Domenic and Carmella (Deanseris) Nassa. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 57 years Susan (Bruno), his daughter Catherine and his son, Christopher (Joana Fenning). He was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth. Most of all his grandchildren Isadora and Adrian Nassa were their Bipa’s whole reason for living. His brother Domenic Nassa. He also loved visiting with his nieces and nephews and was proud of all they have become in their lives.
Richard was a graduate of Cranston East, University of Rhode Island (BA) and Bryant College (MBA). While he was a successful real estate executive, his passions were hunting and farming. He looked forward to his annual hunting trips out West and in Northern New England all year. Richard and Susan spent winters in Scottsdale, AZ after he retired in 1999. Moving from Warwick to Wesquage Beach in time for summer 2015, he made new friends picking up seaweed at the Bonnet Shores Boat launch for this garden. This allowed family, friends and neighbors to reap the rewards of his large garden all summer long. Further showing his commitment to the land and shore, he was a member of the Town of Narragansett Conservation and Coastal Access Improvement Committees.
Burial will be private. Friends and Family are invited to a visitation and final prayer on Monday, April 10 from 4-6pm at NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett, RI 02882.
