Richard J. McPhail, 63, of Humbert Ave., Cranston, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis E. (Johnson) McPhail.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Mildred (Galvin) McPhail.
Mr. McPhail was a self employed jewelry company owner for many years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a CLCF soccer coach in the 1980's and 1990's.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Scott E. McPhail of Cranston; dear brother of Gloria Nardella and Joseph McPhail, both of NH; dear brother-in-law of Edward Johnson and Patricia Nystrom; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10:00 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
