RICHARD GRASSO

76, of Golini Drive, Johnston died on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Rose (Acciardo) Grasso. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Costanzo and Theresa (Manzo) Grasso. Richard was the owner-operator of Grasso's Olneyville Gulf , Plainfield Street Providence for over 50 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Italo American Club of Providence. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter: Lori Morse of Johnston, two sons: Richard and his wife Pam Grasso of Cranston, David and his wife Judy Grasso of Cranston. Brother of Mary Grasso and Claire Barattini both of Cranston, Rocco Grasso of Exeter and the late Anthony Grasso. Papa of Kevin, Jonathan and Kayla Flynn: Richard and Dean Grasso. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church George Waterman Road, Johnston at 10:00am. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8pm.
