RICHARD CHARLES GENTILE

77, of Cranston passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 26, 2011. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Jennie (Ursillo) Gentile. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Porreca) Gentile. They were married for 52 years. Richard was proprietor of Brentwood Furniture Company in Johnston for 40 years before retiring. He was a US Army veteran.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Sharon Penta and her husband Michael of Smithfield, Charles Gentile and his wife Debra of Smithfield, and Jennifer Gentile of Los Angeles, his beloved grandchildren Audra and Brianna Penta and Julianna and Nathan Gentile. He was the brother of Ester Brogi of San Diego and Arlene Mathews of Cranston. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and most especially his wife, Ann.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
