Richard A. DeSimone, Jr.

60, of Warwick passed away on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at his home in Warwick.

He was born in Hudson, NY a son of Kathryn (DeToro) DeSimone of Cranston, and the late Richard A. DeSimone , Sr. Richard worked for the City of Warwick for over 30 years until his retirement. Richard was an avid Red Soxs and New England Patriots fan. He loved spending time family with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Besides his mom he is survived by his loving daughters, Erica Makin and her husband Corey of Warwick , Amanda DeSimone and her husband Sobin Kes of West Warwick, his sister Sylvia Potter and her husband Robert , his cherished granddaughter Norah Makin  and his dear nieces Samantha Potter of Coventry and Jordan Potter of FL.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 5- 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: The Red Sox Foundation, 4 Jersey St., Boston, MA 02215.
