Richard William Davis

58, of North Smithfield, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 in Brigham and Women Hospital, Boston. He was the beloved husband of Russell (Levesque) Davis for 10 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Lillian (Giordano) Davis. Richard dedicated over 15 years of his life working IT for CVS.

Known for his kind and welcoming nature, Richard was not only a talented professional but also a mentor to two individuals with Cystic Fibrosis. His generosity and caring spirit touched the lives of many. He found great joy in spending time with his family and friends always ready to bring a smile to their faces.

Richard had a variety of interests that brought him happiness. He had a passion for theater, enjoying the storytelling on stage. Additionally, he found fun in his card league as an avid card player. Traveling was another one of his joys, exploring new places whenever he could. Richard was also known as an excellent cook, delighting those around him with his culinary creations.

Besides his husband Russell, he is survived by his two loving sisters Dawn Sionni of Scituate and Cathy Ruotolo of Johnston. He was the cherished uncle of Eric Sionni, Lana Howard, Gianna Ruotolo, Alex Ruotolo, and predeceased by his nephew Ryan Sionni. Adored great uncle of Laronn, Vernon, Leana, Jayden, Anthony, and Evangelo. 

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday July 31st, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. followed by his Funeral Home Service on Thursday August 1st at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be held on Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
