RICHARD H. BISHOP
78, of Lenox Rd., Cranston, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Home & Hospice Care of RI in
Providence.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" (Catanzaro) Bishop. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Anna M. (McDonald) Bishop. Mr. Bishop worked for the State of RI for 27 years and was Supervisor of Research & Highway Safety at the RI Registry of Motor Vehicles before retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the dear brother of the late Robert J. Bishop and Jean M. Place; loving uncle of Mary Bishop and several other nieces and nephews; and best friend of Bob D'Amico. His funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, 547 Plainfield St., Providence at 12 noon. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY 5-8 p.m.
