Richard E. Bianco, Sr.

86, of Cranston passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Home in East Greenwich. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn C. (Tavano) Bianco.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rachel "Ella" (Lombardi) Bianco.

Richard worked in sales for Brian Supply Company for 38 years he also worked for MetLife for 5 years retiring in 1996 and was a member of the RI Air National Guard for 9 years.

He was an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St Mary’s Church in Cranston, a Lector and Sr Acolyte; a member of the Holy Name Society, Past President of St. Vincent DePaul Society and former Director of the Emergency Food Bank.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Richard Bianco, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Saunderstown and Elena Bianco of Narragansett; loving grandfather of Philip J. Bianco, Emily S. Marquardt and Camille A. Marquardt.

He was the dear brother of Francis R. Bianco of Warwick, Donald D. Bianco of Johnston, Cecile M. Halvorsen of Warwick and the late Anthony J., Albert A, Arthur W., Pasquale J., John F., Robert R., and Joseph P. Bianco.

His funeral services and burial will be private.
