Richard "Dick" Edward Angeli

88, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edith (Tabellario) Angeli.

Growing up on Federal Hill, Dick was a proud graduate of Holy Ghost and Mount Pleasant High School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Army, serving as a PFC in Battery B, Howitzer Battalion, 14th Artillery stationed in Germany. He had a long career as a tool and die machinist owning his own business, Creative Tooling.

Dick was a long-time resident of Warwick where he and his beloved wife, Camille (Paglia) Angeli, raised their 4 children. He was an active parishioner at St Clements Church and enjoyed his love for golf with his many friends at Valley Country Club for over 30 years. Upon retirement Dick moved to Royal Wood Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL, where he and Camille formed many lasting friendships. Dick enjoyed summers in Jamestown, where his family held cherished memories of competitive dominos, clam cakes and chowder and scratch tickets.

After Camille’s passing, Dick made the decision to move to Brightview Commons in Wakefield. It was there he discovered a passion for acting and billiards, starring in their annual show, and participating in the Brightview Billiards Tournament. His vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life touched the hearts of all who knew him; everyone knew and loved Dick.

A man of routine, Dick was often seen at Solitro’s Bakery in Cranston on Sunday mornings or at Starbucks enjoying a coffee and a blueberry scone, where he greeted friends with his trademark warmth.

Dick is predeceased by his wife, Camille. He is survived by his four children: Pam Nelson and her husband Tim of Franklin, MA, Judy Pinsonault and her husband Tony of Sparta, NJ, Richard Angeli Jr. and his wife Tricia of South Kingstown, and Allison Garrity and her husband Chris of East Fallowfield, PA. He was especially proud of his 10 grandchildren: Mackenzie and Joshua Nelson, Sara, Hope, and Grace Pinsonault, Emily, Katelyn, and Richard Angeli III, and Abigail and Samantha Garrity. He also leaves behind his brother, Anthony Angeli and his wife Annette, along with several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mark Catholic Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown.
