RAYMOND G. WINKS

81, of Byron, GA, formerly of North Providence, passed away on Friday July 27, 2012 at Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center in Warner Robins, GA. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Pannozzi) Winks. Born in Pittsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Vowinckel) Winks. He was a US Navy veteran during the Korean and Vietnam era. Raymond was an aviation mechanic for the United States Government for twenty years before retiring.

He was the beloved father of Sharon Travis of North Providence; loving grandfather of Melissa Ann Travis of Pearland, TX; and dear brother of William Winks of Perry, GA and Rebecca Buchleitner of Pittsburg, PA.

His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by interment with military honors at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.

Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
