Raymond Vincent Ruggieri, 68, died October 22, 2010, at Healthpark Medical Center, Fort Myers, Florida. Raymond was born January 22, 1942, in Providence RI, to the late Harriet and Frank Ruggieri. He attended Cranston High School East, where he was an all state goalie, then continued to play hockey along with baseball, when he furthered his education at Bridgton Academy in Maine, graduating in 1961. For many years he was President of a very successful Providence Bruins Booster Club with 500+ members. He worked for many years at Stanley Bostitch where he was Manager of Printing Services. When he retired he moved to Cape Coral, Florida and was very active in the American Legion, serving on the Executive Board and as Judge Advocate. He was also the newsletter editor for the Corvette Club of RI for many years and recently for the American Legion in Cape Coral. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by Susan, his wife of 33 years, daughters Michelle and Mikayla Ruggieri, sons Randy and Ryan Ruggieri, daughter-in-law Terri Ruggieri, brothers Anthony and Robert, their spouses Dolores and Grace, and was the brother of the late Frank Ruggieri, many nieces and nephews, and his three cats, Homer, Max and Toby. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday at 10:00am in Praise Tabernacle Church, 251 Magnolia Street, Cranston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston on Friday 2-4, 7-9pm.
