RAYMOND J. BUTTI, SR. Capt. CFD, Ret.

73, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of fifty-three years to Ellen F. (Case) Butti. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John P. and Mary (Paliotta) Butti. Raymond was a Captain for the Cranston Fire Department for twenty-five years before retiring in 1991. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Post- Korean War era. Ray was also a skilled carpenter.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, John P. Butti and his wife Manie of Cranston, Raymond J. Butti, Jr. of Providence, Lisa M. Butti of Cranston, Brother Pio "Michael" Butti, FPO of Lawrence, MA. Ray was the cherished grandfather of Johnathan E. Butti of Cranston. He was the devoted brother of Rosemary F. Ellinwood and her husband Robert and Robert J. Buttie and his wife Janet, all of Cranston, and the late John R. Butti.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O.
