RAYMOND HEROUX

69, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Totten) Heroux. They were married for the past 36 years. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Nelson and Christina (Arpin) Heroux. Raymond served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War; was a detective with the Providence Police Department for 25 years, retiring as liaison for the Mayor. He was a member of the FOP Lodge #3, Treasurer of the Providence Police Association, member of the retired Police & Fire Association, an Inspector for DCYF, a security guard for Bradley Hospital, a Little League coach for 17 years, a Vestry member for St. David's on the Hill. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Raymond S. Heroux and wife Maureen of South Carolina, Michelle L. Neuner and husband Tony of Johnston, Pamela Mimande and husband Gerald of Warwick, Rhonda Morissette and husband Eugene of Warwick, and Kimberly Hunt and husband James of Cranston; cherished grandfather of two grandsons, 4 granddaughters and great-grandfather of one great-granddaughter. He was also the brother of the late Ernest Heroux, Sr., Loretta Levesque, and Rita Heroux. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by funeral services at 10 am in St. David's on the Hill Episcopal Church, 200 Meshanticut Valley Parkway, Cranston. Interment with military honors will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of RI, Home and Hospice Care, 475 Kilvert St. Warwick, RI, 02886, or canned food donation for the Interfaith Food Pantry, St. David's on the Hill Episcopal Church, 200 Meshanticut Valley Parkway, Cranston, RI, 02920.
