Raymond was a draftsman and worked at Pare Engineering Co. in Lincoln for 20 years before retiring in 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was the devoted father of Debra A. Herchen of West Warwick and Raymond J. Herchen, Jr. and David A. Herchen, both of North Providence; dear brother of Dolores A. Guglielmi of Smithfield, and former husband of Helen (Traynor) Herchen of Warwick.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS TUESDAY 4-8 p.m.
