Raymond E. Hassell

77, of Cranston and Naples, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021in Naples, FL.  He was the beloved husband of Donna (Tartaglia) Hassell.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Walter Hassell and Caroline Hassell Barrett.

Raymond worked for many years as a barber and as a State of R.I. employee until his retirement.  He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Stephanie Bouvier and her husband David of Smithfield, Jennifer Dionne and her husband Kevin of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Nicolas, Ryan, Christopher, Connor and Cameron; dear siblings John Hassell, Eugene Hassell, Carol Cazzaro, Jo Ann Royster, George Barrett, James Barrett and Debra Iavarone.  He was the brother of the late Walter Hassell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Ronald McDonald House, 45 Gay Street, Providence, RI 02905.
