94, of Johnston passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Tartaglia) Degidio.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic and Julia (Marwell) Degidio. Raymond worked for the former A&P Tea Company of Cranston and the former Valley Foods Wholesale Company for many years before retiring. He was a member of Teamsters Local 251 and the Kelly Gazzero Senior Club.
He is survived by six sisters; Katherine Petrosinelli, Viola LaBelle, Elenor Parisi, Lillian Frezza, Elizabeth Frezza and Irene Cerio, his grandchildren; Margaret Murphy, Robert Degidio and Marcia Jordan and was the great grandfather of six. He was the father of the late Robert Degidio, and brother of the late Anna D'Orio, Florence Scopoletti, Louis and Ernest Degidio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave. Johnston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, Thursday 4-8 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
