RAYMOND CARELLO

89, of Five Fields Road, Madison, CT passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at home. He was the husband of Angela "Jill" (Calabro) Carello. Born on August 20, 1920 in Johnston, he was a son of the late Rosario and Marianina (Tortollani) Carello. Mr. Carello was an award winning top salesman for Frito-Lay and retired with over 40 years of service. Raymond along with his four brothers served in WW II , Raymond with the U.S. Navy as a gunners mate. He was a recipient of the WW-II Victory Medal, 2 Stars for the Asiatic- Pacific Area and was involved in the Philippine Liberation. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter: Jeanne and her husband Nicholas Chieppo of East Haven, CT, three grandchildren: Nicholas and his wife Susan Chieppo II, Kimberly (Chieppo) and her husband Scott Andrews & David Chieppo, four great grandchildren: Nicholas III & Cameron Chieppo; Haley & Michelle Andrews, two brothers: Angelo and Anthony Carello, three sisters: Viola Ursini, Anne Victurine and Dorothea Garvin. He was also the brother of the late Joseph, John, William and Fortunato "Foote" Carello. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston at 9:00am. Burial, with military honors, will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery , Exeter. Kindly omit flowers. VISITING HOURS: FRIDAY 5:00-7:00pm.
