Raymond E. Caouette, 75, of Sarasota, Florida formerly of Warwick,RI passed away peacefully Sunday October 23, 2022. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Arthur and Rose (Lawrence) Caouette. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet (Butler) Caouette.
Ray was a proud US Marine Corps Veteran. He served in Vietnam for over two years, he was a recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze campaign stars, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Rifle Marksman Badge. Ray received a bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College, which he couldn’t have been prouder. He was and his late wife both shared a love of travel and music. Beside his strong love for his country, he was a very devout Catholic and had an unwavering belief in God.
He is survived by his two brothers Arthur Caouette, Jr. and James Caouette. He was also the loving Uncle of several nieces,nephews, family members, and was a great friend, and neighbor. He was predeceased by his two sisters Beatrice Kelly, and Joan Dussault.
His funeral will leave at 10:00 am on Wednesday November 2, 2022, from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will be immediately following at Swan Point Cemetery, with full military honors. VISTING HOURS will be held on Tuesday from 6:00- 8:00pm.
