RAYMOND J. BALASCO

Raymond was manager of Sears Automotive Center for many years and was co-owner of S&B Dry Cleaners in Seekonk, MA and co-owner of Sunny Market in Providence. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Warwick and was active at St. Raymond's Church in Providence.

Raymond was the "go to" person for family and many friends. He was always available to listen and his kind heart enabled him to help so many. He was a self educated man, with a keen interest in politics and world affairs. He enjoyed golfing and trips to the casino with friends; however, his greatest enjoyment was his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. His four daughters adored him, and he will be forever in their hearts.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Linda Luongo and her husband Gerald, Elaine Morton and her husband Barstow, Susan DeMaria and her husband Richard and Ann Marie Santos and her husband Donald; loving grandfather of Kristen, Amanda, Catherine, Lynn and Matthew; loving great-grandfather of Kayla, Kaden and Alexander; and dear brother of Anthony "Nick" Balasco and the late Armand, Vincent, Anthony and Leonard Balasco and Nina Bragg.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
