RALPH J. MARIANO

78, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband of Vilma (Reo) Mariano. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Michele and Marie (Rega) Mariano. Ralph worked for Ciba Geigy Co. for 30 years and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Besides his wife he was the beloved father of Cheryl DiLibero and her husband Richard of Cranston and Steven Mariano of Cranston; loving grandfather of Angelica and Nicole; dear brother of Michele Mariano of Cranston, Virginia Guglielmo of Cranston, Mary Pagliarini of Cranston, Margaret Coccia of East Greenwich and the late Carmella Rivelli, Rachel Alviti, Eleanor Alviti and Rose Malone.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave. Johnston at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
