RALPH J. FERRUOLO, 79, formerly of Petteys Ave., Providence, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Greenwood House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warwick. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Margaret (Ferruolo) Vallande and stepson of the late Luigi Vallande.
Ralph was a hairstylist since 1960 and was the owner of Ralph's Beauty Nook on Post Rd. in Warwick before retiring in 2001. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Army Of Occupation Medal (Germany).
Ralph is survived by his uncle, Alfred Ferroulo and his wife Estelle of Warwick; his aunt, Virginia Ferruolo of Warwick; his stepfamily, several cousins, and numerous friends.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, 547 Plainfield St., Providence at 10:00 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
