77, of Hartford Ave., Johnston, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence. Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (Zincone) D'Ambra. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Virginia (Carpinata) D'Ambra. Mr. D'Ambra was a self-employed painting contractor until his retirement, and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket where he was named All State in baseball and was Honorable Mention in football. He is survived by one brother, Richard D'Ambra and his twin sisters Diane and Deborah D'Ambra all of Providence. Ralph was also the loving uncle of four and great uncle of six. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Brayton Ave. Providence. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday morning 8:00-9:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
