Rachel M. (Carnevale) Matarese

95, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale “Pat” Matarese. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Rose (Travelyn) Carnevale.

Rachel is survived by her two loving children, Patricia Leoncavallo and her husband Barry and Joseph Matarese and his wife Cathy. She was the cherished grandmother of Mark Leoncavallo and his wife Jackie and Alexandria Matarese; adored great-grandmother of Erin and Sofia Leoncavallo. Rachel was the sister of Marie Andreozzi of North Providence and the late Domenic “Tommy” Carnevale.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 6, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: SUNDAY from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
