66, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Aetna St., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas K. and Dorothy K. (Bennett) Silva.
Mr. Silva spoke seven languages and was an educator for many years. He was a magna cum laude graduate from Bishop Hendricken, graduated from Catholic University of Puerto Rico and received his Masters degree from URI.
He was the father of Lisa Silva-Gonzalez of Puerto Rico, David J. Silva of Seattle, Washington, Theresa M. Silva-Jorge of Middleburg, FL and Paul Silva of Mexico; grandfather of seven; and brother of Sharon T. Silva-Morgero of Cranston. He is also survived by one niece, Racquel; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, May 15th at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
