Potito "Peter" Iascone 86, of Edman Street, Warwick, died Wednesday, February 3, 2009 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of America "Ricky" Iascone. They were married for fifty-seven years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Angelina (Noviello) Iascone. Mr. Iascone was the owner and operator of the former Country Squire Cleaners of Warwick and was also employed by Butler Hospital in Providence until his retirement in 2002. Peter was devoted to his family and particularly his three grandsons, with whom he took great pride. He was also an avid sports fan of the Patriots and Red Sox. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Sandra I. Rudden and her husband Peter of Warwick and Attorney Peter M. Iascone and his wife Colleen of Portsmouth. Mr. Iascone was the grandfather of Peter David Rudden, Jr. of Stanford, CT, Michael J. Rudden of Myrtle Beach, SC and Peter Kennedy Iascone of Portsmouth. He was the brother of Catherine Travares of Cumberland, Ida Barletta of Providence, Rose Ketchel of Warwick and the late Nicholas Iascone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick.
