PIETRANGELO "PETE" SIMEONE

84, of Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born in Sant'Ambrogio sul Garigliano Provincia Frosinone, he was the son of Antonio and Antonia (Simeone) Simeone. Pete was the loving husband of Rosa (Simeone) Simeone. He came to the United States in 1956. Pete was employed by the Worker's Union Local 94 and worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Besides his wife, he leaves behind his four children; Lina Luigina Conti of Johnston, Maria Nardi of Providence, Antonio Simeone of Cranston and Roberta Ciccone of Johnston. Pete was the grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of one. He was the brother of Adalgisa DeRosa of Cassino, Italy and the late Giovanni Simeone, Maria Rossi, Giuseppina Vita, Maria Civita DiSanto, Maria Carmela Tudino, Davide Simeone and Alberto Simeone. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence. VISITING HOURS: SUNDAY 4:00-8:00 p.m. Entombment will be in the Mother of Hope Mausoleum, in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, RI Chapter, 1210 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
