PHYLLIS (BIANCO) MONTECALVO

98, of Johnston, formerly of Hallandale, FL and Providence, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Cortland Place, Smithfield. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Margherita (Zompa) Bianco. Phyllis was the co-owner of the former Colonial Motor Inn in Johnston from 1955 to 1975. She was also a self employed seamstress until 1955.

She is survived by her daughter Doris Vigliotti of Johnston. Phyllis was the mother of the late Marie Ouellette. She was the grandmother of six, the great-grandmother of six, and the great-great-grandmother of three. Phyllis was the sister of the late Raymond DiSano, Raffaele DiSano, Ernesto Di Sano, Augustino Bianco, Bernardo Bianco, John Matty Bianco, Theresa Tudino, and Mary DiNapoli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street, Providence. Inurnment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
