Phyllis A. (DeCredico) Iannone, 75, passed away unexpectedly on October 13th at her home. She was a loving and devoted partner to Gary Morana for many beautiful years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Caserta) DeCredico. Phyllis devoted her life to her family and friends, always there with open arms and a loving heart when needed.
Phyllis was a continual source of encouragement, and her selflessness was truly unparalleled. Her unconditional love and devotion allowed others to see the unique beauty of imperfection. As Phyllis created each moment and memory, she left a trail of glitter wherever she went. A sparkle imprinted in our hearts forever.
Phyllis leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends. She is remembered by her partner Gary Morana of Cranston, stepsons Ernest Iannone Jr. and his wife Jody of Coventry, and Jim Iannone and his partner Elizabeth of Providence. Phyllis is survived by her nephews Alessandro and Cesare DeCredico of Providence. She was the beloved cousin to many, grandmother to five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Phyllis was predeceased by her spouse, Ernest Iannone Sr., and brother, Alfred DeCredico.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 19th, at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
