Phyllis (DiFonzo) Gravino
Phyllis (DiFonzo) Gravino, 92, formerly of Lincoln Park Ave., Cranston, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare in Coventry. She was the beloved wife of the late Americo Gravino.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Conti) DiFonzo, she moved to Cranston in 1971.
Phyllis worked at Armburst Chain Company in Providence for 20 years, retiring in 1983.
She was the devoted mother of Americo M. Gravino and his wife Susan of Coventry and the late Gaetano A. Gravino, and his wife Sally of Warwick; loving grandmother of six; loving great-grandmother of four; and dear sister of Tina Luca of Cranston and the late Angelina DiFonzo.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
