90, of West Warwick, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at her son's home in Lincoln. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Garofalo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Annuciatta Garofalo. Phyllis was employed in the hairdressing industry for twenty years before her retirement and was always lovingly known as Miss Phil. She also spent a number of years in California with her son David. Phyllis was a special and beautiful woman who inspired the lives of everyone she encountered. Phyllis is survived by her children Leonard Garofalo and his wife Brenda of Lincoln, RI and David P. Garofalo of California. She was the grandmother of John, Anthony, Kevin, Nancy and Gabriella and the great grandmother of eight. Phyllis was the sister of the late Mary Mansolillo, William and Charles Esposito. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. BOX 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142 in honor of her love for children.
