PHILLIP W. ROSSI

87, of Lowell Ave. Providence, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2012 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston.

Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Frank and Angelina (Scungio) Rossi. Phillip was a WW-11 Army veteran. He was a sheriff at the Providence Superior Court for many years before retiring.

He was a member of AFSCME RI Chapter 94.

He was the dear brother of Josephine Owens of Providence, Blaise Rossi of Johnston and the late Frank Rossi, Jr. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, Plainfield St. Providence at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
