86, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Emma Marie (Grande) Butmarc. A lifelong resident of Johnston, he was the son of the late Pasco and Assunta (Marro) Butmarc. Phil was a co-owner of the former Double B Service Station in Johnston until his retirement. Mr. Butmarc was a Seabee serving with the Navy during WW II. He was also sworn in as an Honorary Member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Beside his wife he is survived by his daughters; Brenda Valenti and her husband Ed and Marsha Cotter and her husband Michael all of Johnston. Mr. Butmarc was the devoted grandfather of Erica Visokey and her husband Kurt of Stamford, CT and Erin Valenti of Johnston. He was also the cherished great grandfather of Jayne E. Visokey. Philip was the brother of Anthony Butmarc of Johnston.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston at 9am. Burial, with military honors will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8pm.
