Phaeng Latpakdy

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Phaeng Latpakdy, of Warwick, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 96, just two months short of his anticipated 97th birthday. He passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his devoted family, on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024. Phaeng was the cherished husband of Sounang Latpakdy.

Mr. Latpakdy dedicated many years of his life as a police officer in Laos before retiring and relocating to America with his beloved family. Phaeng found joy in the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments spent with family, nurturing his garden, fishing, playing badminton, and enjoying puzzles and word searches. Additionally, he was an esteemed member of the Laos Association of RI.

In addition to his devoted wife Sounang, Phaeng is survived by his loving children, Phou, Somphone, Phet, Ked, Thet, Da, Soumaly, Tou, Thia, Thaly, and Lay. He was the treasured grandfather of 24 and adored great-grandfather of 28. Phaeng will forever be remembered for his boundless generosity, gentle spirit, and infectious warmth.

Visiting hours to pay respects to Phaeng will be held on Friday, April 12th, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 1278 Park Avenue in Cranston. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 13th, from 8:00-11:00 am. Burial will be respectfully omitted.
