81, born April 4, 1931, of Alpine Estates Drive in Cranston, formerly of Parnell Street, Providence, passed away peacefully at RI Hospital on Sunday, August 19, 2012 surrounded by his cherished family. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Nobile) Supino. They were married for 57 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Luigi and Consiglia (Campagnone) Supino. Peter lived in Providence for most of his life. He was a proud parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Albany during the Korean War. Peter was employed by the Providence Journal for 32 years until his retirement. Peter enjoyed life's simple pleasures and truly worshipped every minute of time he spent with his loving family and friends. His sense of spirit, courage, strength and character are what truly defined Peter. He was a kind and gentle person with a big heart. To know him was to love him. In addition to his wife, Irene, Peter is survived by his loving and cherished children, Gale Supino of Cranston and Peter Supino Jr. whom he made his home in Cranston. He was the brother of the late Mario, Errico, Vincent and Angelo Supino. His funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Thursday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Avenue, Providence at 10am. VISITING HOURS Wednesday, 5-8pm. All are also welcome to attend the burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
