PETER N. STEVENS

78, of Cranston , passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012. He was the husband of Anne (Poulos) Stevens.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Nicholas and Florence (Dounias) Stevens.

Mr. Stevens was the owner of Olneyville New York System Restaurants which was founded by his grandfather and father in 1946 until his retirement. He was a graduate of Providence College and for the past 30 years enjoyed summering at his home in Newport.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Gregory P. Stevens of Johnston; his daughter Stephanie Turini and her husband John of Smithfield; his grandson John A. Turini, III and was the brother of the late Anthony Stevens and Jean Kanelos.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Saturday at 10:15am followed by services in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 175 Oaklawn Ave. Cranston at 11:30am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8pm.
